Beaver Lake Animal Hospital utilizes non-invasive digital radiography technology to diagnose a wide range of health conditions in pets, from routine ailments to serious disease.
Digital radiography is a filmless x-ray system that produces immediate results, reduces exposure to radiation and requires less table time for your pets versus the traditional film method. It is very good at viewing solid tissue, such as bone. Therefore, it is often used when evaluating for arthritis or fractures. In addition, it has many uses for evaluating soft tissue (organs). Our experienced veterinarians and licensed technicians are highly skilled at obtaining and interpreting these images.
We also use digital radiography for dentistry. It is ideal for uncovering tooth decay and periodontal disease that can be hidden from the naked eye and thus missed during a dental exam.
